Draft for review by a Utah attorney. Not legal advice.
Terms of Use
Last updated: [DATE] · Version 1.0 (draft)
These terms cover snowpinecode.com and the client pages at trailhead.snowpinecode.com (quote, invoice and preview links). They’re run by Snowpine Code LLC, a Utah company in Spanish Fork, Utah (“Snowpine Code”, “I”, “me”). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you hire me, the Service Agreement and your quote also apply, and they win if anything here disagrees with them.
Using the site
- You can browse the site, read about my work, fill out the questionnaire and play the games for free.
- Please give real info in the questionnaire, and only info you have the right to share.
- Sending me a questionnaire doesn’t create a contract. Nothing is agreed until you accept a quote.
Client pages and private links
- Your quote, invoice or preview link is private to you. Anyone with the link can open it, so please don’t share it outside your business.
- If you think someone else has your link, tell me. I’ll turn it off and send a new one.
- Links can expire. A quote is good for the time it says (usually 30 days).
- Preview links show work in progress. They may change or stop working.
Signing electronically
When you accept a quote, you agree to do business with me electronically. Checking the box and drawing your signature counts as your signature, the same as signing on paper. Details are in the E-Sign Consent ([LINK]). Please only sign for a business if you’re allowed to.
Please don’t
- Try to break in, get around security, test for weak spots without my OK, or overload the site.
- Use bots or scrapers on client pages, or try to guess other people’s links.
- Upload anything illegal, harmful, or that you don’t have the rights to (including in voice notes).
- Pretend to be someone else, or use the site to spam or harass anyone.
- Copy the site’s design, logo or code for your own business.
I may block access or turn off a link if someone breaks these rules.
Who owns what
- The site, the Snowpine Code name and logo, the pinecone, the designs, text, games and code are mine. You can’t use them without my written OK, except to link to the site or share it.
- What you send me (answers, voice notes, logos, photos) stays yours. You give me permission to use it to reply to you, quote and do your project.
- Ownership of client work is set by the Service Agreement: you own your accounts, your data, your content and the finished work.
Other companies’ sites
The site may link to other companies (like a payment app or a domain registrar). I’m not responsible for their sites, terms or privacy practices.
Disclaimers
The site and client pages are provided “as is” and “as available”. I don’t promise they’ll always be up, error-free or right for every purpose. To the extent the law allows, I disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Prices, examples and “from” amounts on the site are general and can change. Your quote is the real price. Nothing on the site is legal, tax or financial advice.
Limit on liability
To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages from using the site, and my total liability for the site itself is limited to $100. Liability for paid work is covered by the Service Agreement.
Privacy
How I handle your info is in the Privacy Policy ([LINK]).
Utah law
These terms are governed by Utah law. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Utah County, Utah. Before anything formal, please email me first so we can try to sort it out.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don’t affect a quote you’ve already accepted.
